Good Afternoon Louisburg UMC,

A big thank you to those of you who have responded that you are willing to serve on one of the 4 teams I emailed about last week.  I will be communicating with you very shortly regarding initial meetings.  

Some of you had questions about the length of commitment you would be expected to make.  Here are some thoughts to help guide you in your decision:

  1. Most all meetings will be by Zoom.
  2. No meeting will last longer than an hour!
  3. We will meet no more than once per month or less depending on how much work we can do via email communication.
  4. Let’s agree to work diligently for the next six months and see where we are.  If someone feels they need to “jump off” at that point, they certainly can.

This weekend at 8:30, 10:30, or online, the sermon will be "The Power of Prayer" with scripture from Isaiah 38: 10-20.  Scripture readers include Debbie Alford during 1st service & Scott Walter during 2nd service.  Communion servers include Diane Chastain.  Door greeters include Mike Mesh, John Heien, & Melissa Schmollinger.  Acolytes include Kay Heien & Ella Longgood. Please let me know when you are able to help read scripture, serve communion, acolyte, greet, etc.  I'd really like to have as many folks helping as possible!
