Greetings Louisburg UMC,
I hope that you are having a great week!
The kickoff off for our Better Together capital campaign is just over a week away. I hope that you are as excited as I am about watching the Holy Spirit move us and guide us as we embark upon this journey together. We hope to raise enough money to get construction going on our new building so that we can have many more opportunities to be Better Together! It all begins next Sunday, August 12, with one service at 9:30, followed by the kickoff and formation of teams for the campaign. We will also have lunch so we can all be home by around noon as the first Sunday of the NFL kick offs.
With Labor Day weekend upon us, we find ourselves at the end of our sermon series. This Sunday, we will focus on victory. Two seasons ago the Chiefs found themselves at the pinnacle of the football world, as they won the Super Bowl. Chief's Kingdom went crazy! The question on Sunday: What does victory look like in the Kingdom of God? I hope you will join us live or through the live stream to find out.
Coming Soon:
Fantasy Football: The annual Louisburg UMC Fantasy Football draft will be next Tuesday night, Sept. 7, at 6:30. The draft will happen live at church or by zoom. As always, this league is for bragging rights only! Please let us know if you are interested in participating.
Community Night: Next Wednesday, September 8, is our first Community Night. Every Wednesday for the next 10 weeks, our whole church will gather for dinner, children and youth gatherings, and an adult book study lead by Pastor Brad. I hope you join us next Wednesday for the first night. Pastor Brad will be leading adults in a discussion about our church, and get ideas on what we would like to read and study together. Everything starts at 5:30 and goes through the evening. Show up when you can! Invite/ bring people with you.
See you Sunday!
Pastor Brad
